Recycled Snowskates

Who am I and why did I come up with the idea

Hi, my name Connor and I am a grade 10 student from the Maples Met School. I started this company due to Winnipeg snowing for half of the year and with us being in lockdown because of covid, with all indoor skateparks closed it leaves us skaters unable to do anything.

What is a Snowskate?

If you don't know what a snowskate is, it is a skateboard but for the snow, it can do everything a skateboard can do but on the snow.

What are the differences compared to a skateboard deck?

A snow skate consists of a plastic bottom with grooves so you have control of the board, waterproof foam grip tape, higher concave to make tricks easier, and if you want you can add extreme grip which is a grip that you put on top of your board to help you grip instead of slipping. The extra grip is highly recommended. it's almost impossible to do tricks without it.

What makes my snow skates unique?

All of my snowskates are gonna be made partly out of recycled materials, that one material being (paint/oil buckets). My snowskate brushes will also be partly made from recycled materials.

Why can't you just use a regular skateboard deck?

If you used a skate deck you would slip out due to the completely flat bottom, with the grooves of a snowskate you have control. if you use a skateboard deck it will be soggy and wet, with a snowskate you can literally wipe off the water and snow. The concave is a lot lower than a snowskate making it impossible to pop tricks and ride.
